A Career Built Around Connection
For more than 20 years, my work has centered around one thing: bringing people together and creating experiences they’ll remember.
I began my career in wedding planning, where I discovered how much I enjoy being the calm in the middle of a very important (and sometimes stressful!) day. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping more than 100 couples plan their special day. I was also fortunate to spend 8½ years managing a local event venue—a truly special place that I loved being a part of. Working closely with couples and families to bring their celebrations to life, while providing a little peace and calm along the way, was incredibly rewarding. I’m still grateful for the time I spent there and for the wonderful relationships I built with the families I served.
My career has also taken me into association management, where I planned and managed conferences and events for groups of all sizes, including programs with up to 2,000 attendees in destinations across the country. Along the way, I gained valuable experience in sales and catering with a nationally recognized hotel brand, giving me an even deeper understanding of hospitality, client relationships, and what it takes to create a successful experience from start to finish. These experiences taught me to anticipate needs, manage the details, and stay calm when the unexpected inevitably happens.
More recently, I’ve turned my focus inward—closer to home, closer to family, and back toward the local businesses and causes that mean the most to me. It feels good to bring everything I’ve learned over the years back to Central Kentucky and use it in a more personal way.
